Firm to Provide Free Training for Solar Engineers and Technicians in Lagos

Rubitec Nigeria Limited, in partnership with Renewable Tech Nigeria, has announced a free training program for solar engineers and technicians. The Polastore Cold Storage Solution Training is scheduled to take place from January 27 to 31, 2025, at the Lagos State Energy Academy, GRA, Ikeja.


In a statement, Bolade Soremekun, Managing Director/CEO of Rubitec Nigeria Limited, emphasized the program's significance in advancing Nigeria's renewable energy sector.


“Participants in this free program will gain invaluable skills and contribute to the nation’s journey towards a cleaner and greener future,” Soremekun said.


The training will focus on hands-on expertise in implementing and maintaining solar hybrid cooling systems, offering participants practical knowledge in renewable energy solutions.


Promoting Sustainability in Agriculture


The initiative is designed to address Nigeria's critical energy challenges in the agri-food sector. According to Soremekun, the program aims to reduce reliance on fossil fuels by enhancing off-grid containerized cold storage systems.


“This initiative is part of Renewable Tech Nigeria’s mission to drive the adoption of renewable energy solutions, specifically focusing on sustainable cold storage to power the agricultural sector efficiently and responsibly,” he added.


The project, supported by the Dutch Government’s BHOS strategy, combines the expertise of Nigerian and Dutch renewable energy professionals. It serves as a platform for innovation, collaboration, and skill development in the renewable energy space.

Installing, maintaining, and operating solar-hybrid systems.


Exploring cutting-edge techniques from leading experts in renewable energy.

Naira Experiences Volatility Despite CBN's Enhanced Forex Platform

The naira has continued its volatile journey in Nigeria's foreign exchange market, with significant fluctuations observed in the parallel market.
