Seun Kuti Distances Himself from Burna Boy and Speed Darlington’s Feud

Afrobeat artist Seun Kuti has firmly distanced himself from the ongoing clash between Nigerian music stars Burna Boy and Speed Darlington. Addressing the matter during an Instagram live session, Seun Kuti emphasized that he had no involvement in their drama and urged the public not to associate him with it.

Seun Kuti, who recently received a diamond gift from Burna Boy, clarified that the gesture does not make him Burna Boy’s adviser or ally in this controversy. The singer maintained a neutral stance, asserting his unwillingness to take sides in the feud.

Kuti also highlighted the irony of Speed Darlington’s accusations against Burna Boy. He reminded fans that the American music mogul, Diddy, played a pivotal role in Speed Darlington’s rise to fame.

“Don’t involve me in Burna Boy and Speed Darlington’s case. Just because I collected a diamond from Burna doesn’t mean I’m his close adviser. Diddy was even the one who made Speed Darlington popular. He reposted ‘Bangdadang,’ which gave the song to. I have done many songs, and Diddy never posted any of them, but he reposted Speed Darlington’s song,” Kuti remarked.

This statement from Seun Kuti underscores his resolve to remain uninvolved in the publicized feud.
