NAPPS Unveils Digital Tool to Boost WAEC Success Rates

The National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS) in Lagos State has launched a new digital learning platform, NAPPSExamBOX, designed to enhance student performance in the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) exams.

The platform, a computer-based testing (CBT) solution, integrates a 20-year WAEC question bank, interactive quizzes, and personalized learning features. It also includes resources for the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) exams and the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE). Covering 45 subjects from Junior Secondary School 1 (JS1) to Senior Secondary School 3 (SS3), the tool aims to improve students’ exam readiness and overall academic performance.

Speaking at the launch, NAPPS Lagos Chairman, Yusuf Alaka, emphasized the association’s commitment to academic excellence. He noted that with a target of achieving an 85% pass rate in WAEC by 2025, the introduction of NAPPSExamBOX marks a major step toward raising educational standards.

“This tool provides students and schools with a robust digital learning solution, eliminating guesswork in studying and boosting students' confidence in their exam preparation,” Alaka stated.

A Game-Changer for Digital Learning

According to Chronicles Software CEO, Oluwakoyejo Oluwatosin, whose company developed the platform, NAPPSExamBOX is a transformative initiative that aligns with modern educational needs.

“By integrating digital resources with traditional learning, this platform ensures students are better equipped for WAEC, JAMB, and other examinations. It’s not just about improving pass rates but about preparing students for a tech-driven future,” Oluwatosin explained.

He added that the initiative fosters collaboration between students, educators, and parents, creating a supportive educational ecosystem.

As NAPPS Lagos rolls out NAPPSExamBOX across schools, stakeholders anticipate a significant improvement in academic performance and a shift toward more inclusive, technology-driven education in the state.
